The Ohio State Buckeyes are rolling at 4-0 and outside of this next weekend at Penn State, there doesn’t appear to be a plausible end in sight.

The Buckeyes, with Urban Meyer back at the helm after a three-game suspension to start the season, are a bonafide College Football Playoff contender and they’re certainly a favorite within the Big Ten. Of course, it is still a bit early in the season to talk certainties, but the future is bright for OSU, and quarterback Dwayne Haskins has been a major part of that.

Haskins has been getting early-season Heisman Trophy buzz, and that’s for good reason

Through four games, the 6-foot-3, 220 pound sophomore has already thrown for 1,194 yards and 16 touchdowns, compared to just one interception. Haskins has been an absolute stud for OSU. This past weekend the Buckeyes crushed Tulane, winning 49-6. The Ohio State offense put up 570 total yards, including 304 from Haskins — to go along with five touchdowns.

After the win, the quarterback was obviously high on what he and the Buckeye offense can do. Here’s what he told the media:

“I just want to show how dangerous the offense is, and with me at the helm a lot of plays can be made,” Haskins said.

To Haskins’ point, OSU’s offense has been extremely potent with him running the show. Against their toughest opponent to date, No. 15 TCU, the Buckeyes put up 526 total yards, including 344 yards and two touchdowns through the air.

Eight receivers have caught touchdowns so far this season for OSU, including five from Parris Campbell, four from Terry McLaurin, and two from Johnnie Dixon. Haskins’ presence has, of course, also helped out Ohio State’s running game. The Buckeyes have rushed for 933 total yards so far this season, with Mike Weber leading the way with three scores.

Overall, Haskins has led OSU’s offense to 2,396 total yards and 27 touchdowns.

Dangerous?

You bet.
