Ok, maybe the B1G’s list of quarterbacks isn’t quite as impressive as it was a season ago. Still, when you’re talking about some of the top players at the position in college football, a few guys from the conference surface into the conversation.

J.T. Barrett has thrown 10 TD passes and is completing 67.1 percent of his passes while rushing for 159 yards in the first three games of the season. At Nebraska, Tommy Armstrong, Jr. has thrown eight TD passes and added four more scores with his legs.

For both quarterbacks, those are numbers worthy of some discussion.

Pro Football Focus doesn’t think so.

The site released its top 10 quarterbacks on Tuesday and Barrett, Armstrong and the rest of the B1G QBs were left off the list after four weeks through the season. The rankings are headlined by Louisville’s Lamar Jackson and also includes DeShaun Watson from Clemson, Ole Miss’s Chad Kelly and Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma.

The B1G doesn’t have as many talented quarterbacks as a majority of the other Power Five conferences, but not including Barrett or Armstrong on this list – who are a combined 7-0 I might add – seems a little strange.

We’ll see if any B1G quarterbacks make the cut with a strong performance this Saturday.
