Jim Harbaugh made a big splash with his newest commitment in the 2017 class.

No, literally.

On Monday evening, four-star wide receiver Oliver Martin announced that he would continue his football career at Michigan, shaking hands with both Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton.

And then, the trio jumped into a high school swimming pool:

That’s one way to celebrate a big commitment to an already-impressive class.

The six-foot, 190-pound Martin is the top-ranked recruit from Iowa and is listed as the 28th-best receiver of 2017. In his senior season at Iowa City West High School, Martin caught 85 passes for 1,272 yards and 14 TDs. For his career, he had more than 3,400 receiving yards and scored 33 TDs.

In addition to Michigan, Martin had also received offers from other B1G schools like Iowa, Michigan State and Ohio State. He had a plethora of offers outside the conference, as well.

Chlorine probably doesn’t mix well with those nice polo shirts that Harbaugh and Hamilton are wearing. But after the news tonight, it’s probably safe to assume they don’t really care.
