Michigan RB Chris Evans left the Week 3 game early and was unable to go in Week 4. Coach Jim Harbaugh indicated Monday night that the Wolverines ball-carrier could be back soon.

Evans’ absence did not slow down UM in its 56-10 Week 4 win over Nebraska, but Michigan would like to have him back for the meat of their B1G schedule.

Harbaugh’s squad faces Northwestern in Week 5 and Maryland in Week 6. On his radio show Monday, Harbaugh revealed he hopes to have Evans available for one or both of those games. At the same time, UM will prepare as if he will not be available.

Evans was off to an impressive start in 2018, recording 30 carries for 172 yards, an average of 5.7 yards per carry. In his absence, Karan Higdon and Christian Turner led the ground effort against the Huskers, combining for 191 yards on 22 carries.
