Michigan State managed to add a crown jewel to its 2019 recruiting class just before the start of the dead period, picking up a 5-star offensive lineman on Monday night.

The commitment came from Belleville OL Devontae Dobbs, who is the No. 3 overall offensive tackle in the 2019 class.

As you can see below, Dobbs announced his decision on Twitter on Monday night, becoming the 11th player in the Spartans’ class:

According to the 247Sports composite, Dobbs is the No. 3 offensive tackle in the class of 2019 and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of Michigan.

Dobbs is the 11th player in Michigan State’s class. Prior to his commitment, the Spartans’ class was ranked No. 10 in the Big Ten and No. 38 nationally, per 247Sports. That’s sure to change with Dobbs on board, though.
