Michigan State can’t seem to buy a break these days. The latest incident involving a Spartan (or future Spartan) is proof of that.

According to 247sports, MSU signee Lashawn Paulino-Bell was injured in a jet ski accident while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas. Paulino-Bell was reportedly airlifted from the Bahamas to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

The future Spartan suffered internal injuries and was in stable condition, according to 247sports.

Paulino-Bell was rated the No. 44 defensive end and the No. 733 player overall in the 247sports composite. The St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) recruit was expected to compete for playing time immediately as a true freshman with the Spartans lacking depth on the defensive line.

It’s unknown how serious Paulino-Bell’s injuries were or if they’ll sideline him for fall camp.
