Minnesota’s 2019 recruiting class grew on Tuesday, just one day before National Signing Day.

Junior college safety Gervarrius Owens gave his pledge to the Golden Gophers, bring the team’s 2019 class total to 22 for this recruiting cycle. He’s the third junior college player to commit to Minnesota, joining Kelvin Clemmons and Keonte Schad.

Both Clemmons and Schad are already on campus.

Owens tweeted out his commitment on Tuesday night saying, “100% committed to the University of Minnesota.”

Owens chose Minnesota over offers from Southern Miss and Texas Tech.

The Gophers have the 42nd-ranked recruiting class nationally and sit at No. 10 in the B1G. Owens is the only player currently committed to Minnesota who hasn’t signed his National Letter of Intent.

He’ll do that on Wednesday, which is National Signing Day.
