Carter Coughlin has already been considered one of the top linebackers in the B1G this fall. Entering this year with 25 straight starts, the Minnesota defensive stud is receiving plenty of attention.

Last season, Coughlin was an utility knife for the Golden Gophers. Not only did he register 48 tackles, he tallied 15 stops for loss, 9.5 sacks and forced four fumbles. Now, as one of the leaders of the defense, the expectations are even higher for the linebacker.

So high, in fact, that some are already discussing his NFL Draft status. If he has another strong season, some think he could even creep into a potential first-round slot for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Coughlin, however, isn’t worried about any of that. He’s focused on the 2019 season and helping Minnesota get more wins.
