Ohio State QB announces his football career is over
Stephen Collier is calling it a career.
The Ohio State reserve quarterback announced in a Landof10.com piece that he’ll call it quits after three years in Columbus. He penned a letter to Ohio State fans in which he thanked them for their support during his time at OSU.
Collier did say in the story that he planned on staying with the program in a behind-the-scenes role.
A member of Ohio State’s 2014 recruiting class, the three-star dual-threat quarterback native never saw action in a game. The Leesburg, Ga. native graduated with a communications degree in three years in December.
Another Ohio State backup quarterback, Joe Burrow, squashed transfer rumors on Wednesday.
As it stands, the Buckeyes have five quarterbacks on the roster with the addition of early enrollee Tate Martell.
