James Franklin knows Penn State will have its hands full this weekend. And he understands that Ohio State’s roster is one of the best in the country.

On Tuesday, Franklin met with the media for his weekly press conference to discuss the upcoming matchup with the Buckeyes. And the PSU head coach had some major compliments for Urban Meyer’s squad.

Franklin said Ohio State has “one of the most talented rosters in the country, if not the most talented roster in the country.”

“Obviously I’m concerned about coaching our team,” Franklin said, “but I do have tremendous respect for their program as a whole.”

It’s hard to argue with Franklin on that point. The Buckeyes are averaging 54.5 points per game this season and have already defeated a really good TCU team in Texas.

Ohio State will be without one of its top defensive players, however, as Nick Bosa will miss several more weeks with a core muscle injury.

Again, Franklin had nothing but high praise for the Buckeyes’ defensive end, saying Bosa is one of the most talented players he’s ever seen.

Saturday’s game against Ohio State will be Penn State’s greatest challenge to date. The last time the Buckeyes and Lions collided in Happy Valley, PSU came away with a 24-21 win.
