Saquon Barkley isn’t going to make a decision on his future until Penn State’s season officially comes to a close.

On Wednesday, the Penn State running back reiterated that he hadn’t made a decision on whether he would return to Happy Valley for his senior season or if he would forego his final year and enter the 2018 NFL Draft. Don’t expect an announcement to come anytime soon, either. Barkley also said that he won’t make up his mind until after the Nittany Lions’ Fiesta Bowl game against Washington.

“Definitely after the bowl game,” Barkley said. “I’m definitely going to sit down with my family and just think about life, probably take a little break and see what my family thinks, talk to my coaches and definitely talk to my teammates. I’ll have my decision made by then.

“Me and Coach Franklin have a really close relationship, so we talk prior to the season and during the season. That’s, I’ll say, confidential between me and him. I’m happy I have a relationship with my head coach like that, that I know I can come to him any moment, any time, and I’m fortunate enough to have a relationship with Coach Franklin.”

Barkley has already made it clear that he will participate in Penn State’s Fiesta Bowl game against Washington.

After leading the B1G in all-purpose yards this season and displaying an unbelievable amount of athleticism, Barkley is expected to bolt the college game and begin preparing for the NFL. But we’ll have to wait a few weeks before we know his final decision.

Penn State and Washington will meet in the Fiesta Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 30.
