George Kittle is having a remarkable start to his NFL career, and he added onto one record he already owns.

Entering Sunday’s season finale with the San Francisco 49ers, Kittle stood just 33 yards shy of reaching 1,000 receiving yards for the season. He surpassed the mark in the second quarter.

With Kittle surpassing that milestone, he now has back-to-back seasons of 1,000 yards receiving. According to Matt Maiocco with NBC Sports Bay Area, Kittle was already the only tight end in 49ers history to surpass the 1,000-yard mark for a season, adding a second year to his personal record.

In 2018, Kittle had 88 catches for 1,377 yards and five touchdowns. So far, Kittle has 83 catches for 1,041 yards and 5 touchdowns with a lot of time still to play.
