NFL rookie running back and former Indiana Hoosier Jordan Howard didn’t make the initial Pro Bowl roster.

Despite finishing second in the league in rushing yardage (1,313), Howard was passed up by Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson to join Ezekiel Elliott as NFC ball-carriers.

But because of an injury suffered in Week 17, Johnson won’t be making the trip to Orlando and Howard will be taking his place. So, on Jan. 29, the NFC will have two former B1G stars occupying the backfield.

In addition to the 1,313 yards, Howard had 29 receptions for 298 yards. He scored seven total touchdowns with the Bears in his first year in the NFL. Elliott was the only running back with more yardage than the former IU back in the regular season.

Johnson ended the year with 1,239 rushing yards but had 16 TDs for the Cardinals.

If you miss watching some of the B1G’s top running backs, the Citrus Bowl in Orlando will definitely be the place for you on the final weekend in January.
