Ohio State’s defensive line isn’t bashful about the ridiculously high expectations it has heading into the 2017 season.

Earlier this month, defensive coordinator Greg Schiano said the Buckeyes’ line was the best he’s ever coached. But that title isn’t good enough for Tyquan Lewis. He believes this defensive front can be the greatest ever.

“Every year you expect the defensive line to produce,” Lewis said in a video for 247Sports. “Expectations are really high, just around the nation. ESPN, whoever else, ranks us very high as the best defensive line in the country. For us, we know what we have to do. We want to be the greatest unit ever, that’s our goal.”

The Buckeyes do have a stacked defensive line with guys like Lewis, Sam Hubbard, Nick Bosa, and Jalyn Holmes, among others. Many already believe Ohio State does have one of the best front lines in the nation.

We’ll see Ohio State’s defensive line in action on Thursday when the Buckeyes travel to Bloomington to take on Indiana.
