According to an Associated Press report, two former Rutgers players were accused of sexually assaulting a student.

The former Rutgers players, Marques Ford and John Bowers, were reportedly named in a complaint filed in Middlesex County. The alleged incident took place on Nov. 14, 2015, according to the report.

The victim claimed that she was too incapacitated to give consent on the night of the alleged incident.

Ford and Bowers were both suspended and later transferred from the university. At the time, Ford claimed he left the school because he was “uncomfortable.”

“I wasn’t comfortable with the school, basically,” Ford said last December in a phone interview with NJ Advance Media. “Not from the get go, but over time I just wasn’t comfortable.”

Ford was a rare four-star recruit that committed to Rutgers, but struggled to make a lasting impact during his brief time in Piscataway.

Rutgers has yet to comment on the allegations.
