Jonathan Taylor eclipses 1,500 yards, joins elite company in first half against Penn State
Everyone is well aware Jonathan Taylor is one of the best backs in the country, and he joined some illustrious Wisconsin company Saturday.
In the first half of action against Penn State, Taylor eclipsed the 1,500-yard mark for the season. The sophomore running back also eclipsed 1,500 yards while rushing for 1,977 as a freshman.
According to Brian Mason, Wisconsin’s Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, Taylor becomes just the fourth Badgers back to eclipse 1,500 yards rushing in back-to-back seasons. The other Badgers to pull off the feat are Ron Dayne, Montee Ball, and Melvin Gordon. Taylor has 143 yards and a touchdown in the first half against Penn State.
