Greg McElroy and Chris “The Bear” Fallica went on the podcast ‘Always College Football’ to talk about some of the bets people should be making in Week 6. The pair mentioned two B1G games in Week 6.

The games that they talked about were Ohio State-Michigan State and Iowa-Illinois.

Ohio State is 5-0 after coming off of another dominant win against Rutgers in Week 5. Michigan State has lost its last three games to Power 5 opponents.

Illinois is also coming off of a strong start to the season. The Fighting Illini have been able to remain to go 4-1 through their first five games. Illinois has wins over Wyoming, Virginia, Chattanooga, and Wisconsin. Iowa will be looking to avenge its loss to Michigan at home in Week 5.

It’ll be interesting to see which of their picks ends up coming true. Here are their picks for the B1G games in Week 6:

Ohio State(-26.5) at Michigan State

McElroy doesn’t see how the Spartans can keep this game close unless Payton Thorne finally plays like he did last year.

Fallica sees this as loss number four for Michigan State. While many people might be afraid of betting that Ohio State can cover the spread, Fallica talked about the past couple of meetings have gone.

“I don’t know how you could possibly make a case for Michigan State here,” said Fallica. “The two games between these teams since Mel has been there, 56-7 and 52-12. The game last year was 35-0 in the second quarter. I don’t know how they stop the Ohio State passing game even if Jaxon Smith-Njigba can’t play.”

Iowa at Illinois(-3.5)

For Iowa-Illinois, Fallica is going to be a little more cautious. He doesn’t want to watch the game because of how close it will be, but he is leaning towards Illinois. McElroy likes Illinois as well.

The Fighting Illini have been good on both sides of the ball which is why Fallica likes them. The Iowa offense has not been doing themselves a lot of favors.

“Illinois is really good man,” said Fallica. “Defensively they are really good. They run the ball. Even after the emotional win that Bret had last week, I may bet the Illini again here.”

McElroy doesn’t see how people don’t bet on Illinois every week.

“I don’t know how you don’t play Illinois every week,” said McElroy. “They’re really good. I like that team.”
