Michigan vs. Nebraska: Prediction and preview
Michigan vs. Nebraska will be an interesting B1G crossover battle on the Week 11 schedule. That matchup is set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
Michigan vs. Nebraska preview
This weekend’s game will be an interesting one for both sides, though determining if Nebraska can keep things close on the road is tough to call. While the Huskers have not been blown out lately, the team is still riding a 3-game losing streak and has a host of challenges internally for this game.

The first challenge for Mickey Joseph comes at the quarterback position. Casey Thompson has been the starter for much of the season but was unable to go during a Week 10 loss to Minnesota.
Earlier in the week, Joseph said Thompson was a long shot to be ready for this weekend and that Logan Smothers and Chubba Purdy would be the options to start if Thompson is indeed out. Joseph also appeared to take some shots at the offensive play-calling and said Nebraska has to be happy at times with shorter gains in the ground game.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Huskers are also dealing with the suspension of defensive back Myles Farmer. Farmer was reportedly arrested on DUI charges over the weekend, and his absence leaves a major void on the backside of the defense.
With or without those issues, Nebraska was already going to be dealing with a Michigan team that is playing like it is out for blood after the results of 2021. Despite winning the B1G and making the College Football Playoff, many discredited the Wolverines as a one-hit wonder following some veteran departures to the NFL and loss of Jim Harbaugh’s top assistants.
Instead, the Wolverines have reloaded and produced one of the top Heisman contenders through 10 weeks in star RB Blake Corum. Corum leads the team with over 1,100 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns and has been phenomenal all year long. Donovan Edwards has also flashed for his versatility in the backfield with over 600 total yards of offense and 6 touchdowns.

Once again, another key aspect of a Jim Harbaugh-led team is the strong work of the Wolverine defense. Despite losing Aidan Hutchinson, David Ojabo and others in the NFL Draft, the unit has produced strong results with 14 players recording at least half a sack. That group is led by Mike Morris with 7.5 sacks and 11 TFL.
Michigan vs. Nebraska prediction
Nebraska has been playing better under interim head coach Mickey Joseph, but results have still been hard to come by. Fortunately, Michigan has the talent, depth and weapons to squash the hopes of the Huskers and put this one out of reach early.
Prediction: Michigan 38, Nebraska 10
