The “Mouth of the South” is still leaning towards a world in which we see three SEC teams compete for the national championship.

As he does every Sunday morning, Paul Finebaum joined SportsCenter to discuss the Saturday of college football and provide his updated top four rankings. To nobody’s surprise, the SEC Network host still has an SEC heavy top four.

Finebaum has three SEC teams — Alabama, LSU and Georgia — ranked in the top four following the fourth week of the college football season. The other team in the mix is Clemson, which Finebaum has in the No. 1 overall slot.

Here’s a look at his rankings:

  1. Clemson Tigers
  2. Alabama Crimson Tide
  3. Georgia Bulldogs
  4. LSU Tigers

So, as of right now, Finebaum doesn’t have any B1G teams in the playoff picture. He did say that Wisconsin is his team to watch moving forward after pummeling Michigan in Madison.

We’ll see if any B1G teams — primarily Wisconsin, Ohio State or Penn State — can impress Finebaum enough in the coming weeks to creep into the top four conversation.
