The Purdue Boilermakers plan on continuing to use two kickers this season, as Spencer Evans and J.D. Dellinger will split time at the position.

The two kickers are near perfect on extra points, making 17-of-18 attempts. But they’re only 8-of-13 on field goal attempts – Evans is 4-of-6 and Dellinger is 4-of-7.

In an article by the Journal & Courier, Purdue special team’s coach and co-offensive coordinator Tony Levine said:

“I think they’re both deserving. They’re not perfect – no kicker in the country is perfect. I told both of them before the season, ‘you’re going to miss kicks this year and every kicker in the country is going to miss kicks. That comes with part of that position.’”
