WATCH: UCF comes so close to pulling off the upset of the year
The ball was halfway down before it popped back out. You could watch it 100 times, and its still crazy that UCF’s final tip-in attempt to beat Duke and pull off the upset of the year didn’t go through the net.
With Duke trailing 76-73, Zion Williamson drove to the basket and was able to score at the rim and draw contact on Tacko Fall, fouling out UCF’s 7-foot-6 center and bringing the Blue Devils within one points. Williamson missed the free throw, RJ Barrett grabbed the offensive rebound and scored on a layup, putting Duke ahead 77-76 with under 11 seconds to play.

Unbelievable. It still doesn’t seem possible that the ball popped out of the hoop. But it just wasn’t meant to be for UCF.
Still, the Knights put up one heck of a fight against the best team in college basketball and the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament.
