Illinois redshirt freshman Lere Oladipo has been reinstated to the team, according to a report from the Illini Inquirer.

Oladipo had been suspended after being charged with three counts of domestic battery. He was arrested in October and charges were dropped in December. He pled not guilty to all three counts.

The redshirt freshman appeared in four games for the Illini in 2018, totaling seven tackles.

Oladipo was a member of Illinois’ 2017 recruiting class. The Huntley, Illinois native was a 3-star defensive lineman and was one of the top 15 players out of his home state.

His reinstatement gives Illinois depth on the defensive line for the 2019 season.
