Illinois will get a big boost heading into 2020 on the offensive side of the ball!

Josh Imatorbhebhe, the leading receiver for the Illini in 2019, announced on Instagram that he is indeed returning to Champaign for his senior season. A transfer from USC, Imatorbhebhe was by far the best receiving threat for the offense this season.

In his post, Imatorbhebhe said there’s “a lot to prove to a lot of people:”

For 2019, Imatorbhebhe finished with 33 catches, 634 yards receiving, and nine touchdowns. He was the only Illini player to finish with more than 27 catches and 350 yards receiving.

With quarterback Brandon Peters returning and having Imatorbhebhe back, the Illinois offense could be one to keep an eye on next season. The team will need to replace Reggie Corbin and Dre Brown in the backfield, but it will be nice to have the leading passing and leading receiver back for one more go.
