Indiana coach Tom Allen shares motto, motivation for IU's 2021 season
2020 was another strong season for Indiana. The Hoosiers followed up an 8-5 campaign, with a 6-2 record.
However, one of those losses came on the road to the eventual B1G champion Ohio State, a 42-35 defeat. Indiana coach Tom Allen is pleased his team is on an upward trend but isn’t losing sight of the main goal, which is to usurp the blue-blood Buckeyes.
During Friday’s edition of B1G Media Days, Allen shared the motto for Indiana heading into the 2021 season: The Chase
Allen on the biggest lesson he takes from narrow loss to OSU last year: “They are the gold standard and that is who we’re chasing.” Said motto for this year is The Chase.

Allen also said he wants to be back at Lucas Oil Stadium — the location of Big Ten Media Days — for the conference championship game in December.
Indiana will get another crack at Ohio State on Oct. 23, this time at home. Indiana opens up against host Iowa on Sept. 4 at 3:30 p.m. (EST), with the game televised on Big Ten Network.
