Indiana bolstered its 2019 recruiting class by adding the top athlete out of Wisconsin on Monday evening.

Da’Shaun Brown, the top-ranked prospect out of Wisconsin, gave his verbal pledge to the Hoosiers on Monday night. He becomes the 17th member of the class.

Brown, a 3-star athlete, made his announcement via Twitter.

“I would like to announce that I am ending my recruitment process and will be committing to Indiana University,” Brown said. “Respect my decision please.”

Brown is listed as a 6-foot-1, 170-pound athlete. He’s the No. 1 player out of Wisconsin and the 30th-ranked athlete in the 2019 class. Overall, Brown is hovering around the top 500.

In addition to Indiana, Brown had offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Syracuse and Wisconsin.

Adding Brown is huge for head coach Tom Allen and the Hoosiers. The 2019 recruiting class now ranks 38th nationally and ninth in the B1G. He’s the third-highest rated recruit to commit to IU.
