Indiana will attempt to build off the momentum of the last two seasons when they return for the 2021 campaign.

In 2020, the Hoosiers followed up an 8-5 campaign, with a 6-2 record. Indiana’s first test this season will come on the road against host Iowa on on Sept. 4 at 3:30 p.m. (EST), with the game televised on Big Ten Network.

Iowa began last season 0-2 before reeling off six consecutive victories to end 2020 ranked No. 16 in the AP poll.

During Friday’s edition of B1G Media Days, Indiana coach Tom Allen said he believes opening on the road against a quality conference opponent provides excellent motivation.

Iowa is on a three-game winning streak vs. Indiana and leads the all-time series 45-28-4. Indiana’s last victory in the series came in 2012.
