Indiana is playing with some heart after losing quarterback Michael Penix Jr. for the season last week.

The Hoosiers took a 7-3 lead into halftime and then were able to build on that advantage immediately in the second half.

But not without some serious playmaking from one of the country’s best receivers in Ty Fryfogle. This catch from him put Indiana in position to take a 14-3 lead:

That’s a gutsy throw from backup quarterback Jack Tuttle and one of Fryfogle’s best catches of the year — which is saying something.

A few plays later, Tuttle hit Whop Philyor to put the Hoosiers up 14-3. Here’s that play:

Indiana is hoping to snap a 10-game losing streak to Wisconsin. Tom Allen has never defeated the Badgers, and were heavy underdogs in this game without Penix Jr. Most books had Wisconsins has at least 13-point favorites throughout the week.

Instead, Tuttle has been outstanding. Midway through the third quarter, he’s completed 11 of 17 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin’s offense is having a lot of trouble with the Hoosiers. Indiana has already picked off Graham Mertz once has mostly stopped the Badgers’ passing attack.

Indiana hasn’t defeated Wisconsin since 2002.
