Jack Campbell is racking up the honors in the 2022 season.

The B1G announced on Tuesday afternoon that Campbell has been named the Nagurski-Woodson Defensive Player of the Year and also the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year.

In 2022 alone, Campbell has made solid strides on the gridiron. Marking a total of 51 solo tackles, one forced fumble, and 64 assist tackles for the Hawkeyes.

So it’s no surprise that Campbell has achieved and earned both the Defensive Player of the Year title and the Linebacker of the Year title.

Campbell, after the news came out, provided his thoughts on receiving these honors.

“… Just putting in all that time and effort into building me into the player I am today,” Campbell said during interview on the honors. “There’s still so many ways you can improve, there’s so many guys out there who are deserving of this award… But at the end of the day I am just so blessed to be in the position to receive this…”
