Maryland’s 2020 recruiting class has its first pledge.

DeMatha Catholic DT Jordan White announced his commitment to the Terrapins Wednesday via his Twitter account. Listed at 6-foot-3, 295 pounds, White is a 3-star recruit rated the No. 24 Maryland product, No. 54 defensive tackle and No. 706 prospect overall nationally in 2020 class on the 247Sports Composite. White also has scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Syracuse, Virginia and UMass.

Maryland fans will be expecting a big recruiting boost in the first full cycle for new coach Mike Locksley. The Terps finished ranked No. 11 in the B1G and No. 46 nationally in the Composite recruiting rankings for 2019, signing a class of 19 commitments and adding four transfers.
