Jim Harbaugh confirmed the rumors that had been surfacing the last few weeks.

Former four-star tight end Devin Asiasi is transferring from Michigan after one year:

Asiasi was the No. 3 tight end and the No. 75 player overall in the 2016 class. The U.S. Army All-American was reportedly planning on transferring to be closer to his home in California.

At Michigan, Asiasi played in all 12 gamesĀ games and caught two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman. With the graduation of Jake Butt, Asiasi was in line for a more significant role in 2017.

Instead, he’ll transfer to another school, where he’ll have three years of eligibility remaining after he redshirts in 2017.
