Blake Corum proclaims Michigan will 'run it back' and win national title in 2023
Blake Corum is trying to speak Michigan’s future goals into existence.
As teams across the country prepare to hit the spring practice sessions, Corum made an appearance in the Crisler Center during Wednesday’s basketball game against Nebraska. He addressed the crowd with a brief statement and proclaimed the Wolverines will win a title in 2023.
“Man, it feels good to be back! I don’t have much to say, all I gotta say is we’re going to run it back,” said Corum. “We’re gonna win a national championship and go down in history. Go Blue!”

At this point, Corum has at least some reasons to feel confident in his squad. The Wolverines rolled through the B1G on their way to a second straight B1G title and a 13-0 season in 2022.
Then again, Michigan did give up 51 points in a Fiesta Bowl loss to TCU and is 0-2 in College Football Playoff games under Jim Harbaugh. The target will also be especially big on the Wolverines this season with the rest of the conference looking to take down the reigning champs.
Harbaugh did famously proclaim Michigan would beat Ohio State and win the B1G “or die trying” heading into the 2021 season. The Wolverines lived up to that bold statement, and now we’ll see if they can live up to Corum’s proclamation in 2023.
