By the numbers: Michigan's defense completely dominated Michigan State
Whether you were in attendance at Spartan Stadium or watching Saturday’s matchup on television, it was easy to see that Michigan’s defense completely dominated Michigan State in a 21-7 win. The numbers back that up.

79: Passing yards for Michigan State. Brian Lewerke had just 66 yards through the air.
24: The most yards the Spartans gained on any one drive.

15: Total rushing yards Michigan allowed. It was Michigan State’s lowest total since playing Alabama in the Capital One Bowl in 2011 (-48).
