'Fuel to our fire': Michigan's David Ojabo addresses facing MSU after loss in 2020
The stage is set for Michigan vs. Michigan State in Week 9.
With the win by the Wolverines in Week 8, a showdown of undefeated 7-0 teams awaits in East Lansing. Both teams will enter ranked inside the top 10 with bragging rights and positioning in the super-competitive B1G East at stake.
Michigan has won 3 of the last 5 showdowns in the rivalry series, but it was Michigan State in Mel Tucker’s first season to pull the upset in 2020. After Saturday’s game, David Ojabo was asked about that game.
He admitted the Wolverines will use it as “fuel,” but their focus is on moving forward:
“It’s just fuel to our fire, just to go back out there and do what we do,” said Ojabo. “But we can’t dwell on the past mentally. Just gotta keep looking forward.”
