Michigan has added four new non-conference opponents to its schedules in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The university made the announcement on Friday.
Three of those opponents are out of the MAC, as the Wolverines will play Western Michigan and Northern Illinois in 2021. They’ll also host Bowling Green in 2023. In 2022, Michigan will play Colorado State from the Mountain West Conference.
All four games will be played at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. Here are the dates for the latest schedule additions:
- Sept. 4, 2021: vs. Western Michigan
- Sept. 18, 2021: vs. Northern Illinois
- Sept. 3, 2022: vs. Colorado State
- Sept. 16, 2023: vs. Bowling Green
The addition of Western Michigan and Northern Illinois to the 2021 schedule rounds out the non-conference slate for the Wolverines that season. They’ll also host Washington on Sept. 11.
Michigan also has a home-and-home scheduled with UCLA in 2022 and 2023.
The Wolverines have never lost a game to the four opponents they’ve added to their future schedules. Michigan is 7-0 vs. Western Michigan, 2-0 against Bowling Green and 1-0 against Northern Illinois and Colorado State.
