Michigan is one step closer to rounding out its schedule for the 2024 season.

Thursday, the school announced that it has added a home game with Fresno State to open the 2024 campaign. It will be the first-ever meeting between the Bulldogs and Wolverines on the field.

The contest is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31, the first game of the 2024 season. The Wolverines travel to Texas to take on the Longhorns the following week. There is still one open non-conference date for that season.

Fresno State recently hired former Indiana offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer as the head coach of the program. It will be his first gig as a head coach at the FBS level. He spent one season with the Hoosiers.

Michigan still has one open date available for each the 2022, 2023 and 2024 seasons. The 2020 and 2021 schedules are complete with three non-conference opponents.
