The ChadTough Foundation reached an incredible goal over the weekend, raising over $1 million for pediatric brain cancer research, according to a report from MLive.com.

On Saturday night, the ChadTough Foundation held its third annual gala on the University of Michigan campus and raised more than $1 million in donations for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma research and Michigan Medicine’s Chad Carr Pediatric Brain Tumor Center.

Several members of Michigan’s athletic department were in attendance, including former head basketball coach John Beilein, football assistant coaches Josh Gattis and Don Brown and women’s basketball coach Kim Barnes.

The ChadTough Foundation was formed following the death of Chad Carr, the grandson of former Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr. He passed away at age 5 from the disease in 2015.

Among the items sold at the gala was a behind-the-scenes experience with the Cleveland Cavaliers — where John Beilein will be the next head coach. That experience sold at $20,000. Bo Schembechler’s 1972 B1G championship ring went and bust of the former coach went for $30,000.
