A former Michigan State offensive lineman has named his transfer destination.

Monday morning, offensive tackle Damon Kaylor announced that he plans to transfer to Ball State to continue his college football career. He was one of nine Spartans to enter the NCAA transfer portal when the team concluded spring practices in April.

“Coming home, let’s work,” Kaylor wrote on Twitter.

Kaylor is a native of Huntington, Indiana and was a 3-star offensive tackle out of high school. He was a member of Michigan State’s 2019 recruiting class, spending two years in East Lansing before exploring his options outside the program.

As a high school prospect, Kaylor ranked as the No. 16 player out of Indiana and was considered one of the Top 100 offensive tackles in the class, per 247Sports. He committed to play for Mark Dantonio, who retired following the 2019 season.

Kaylor, who was a 6-foot-5, 315-pound redshirt freshman last fall, did not see any action in his first two seasons at Michigan State. He will have all four years of eligibility remaining at Ball State.
