MSU football team headed to Final Four to support Spartan hoops
When Michigan State played in the College Football Playoff in 2015, Tom Izzo took his players to the Cotton Bowl to cheer on the Spartans against Alabama. Now, Mark Dantonio gets to return the favor.
The Michigan State football team is headed from East Lansing to Minneapolis on Saturday, to root on the basketball team as the Spartans take on Texas Tech with a trip to the national title game on the line. Players and coaches posed for a photo as they make the trek to the Final Four.

Dantonio and Izzo have a strong bond, and showing support for each other in this championship events is pretty cool.
Michigan State’s football team makes the trip to Minneapolis to support the Spartans basketball squad just one week before the annual Green and White Spring Game, scheduled for April 13. The team is also hosting an open practice free for students on Tuesday.
But football has been put aside, at least for one day. This Saturday is all about Michigan State basketball and the football team is showing its support.
