Look: Minnesota will have different themes for gamedays

The Minnesota Golden Gophers open their season on Aug. 31 against the Buffalo Bulls.

And Minnesota will have a certain theme for that game. Along with all the other home games.

• Aug. 31 vs Buffalo, Home Opener
• Sept. 16 vs Middle Tennessee State, Ag Day/ High School Band Day
• Sept. 30 vs Maryland, Salute to Servicemembers/Champions Day
• Oct. 14 vs Michigan State, Parents and Family Weekend/Tackle Cancer
• Oct. 21 vs Illinois, Homecoming
• Nov. 11 vs Nebraska, Veterans/Military Appreciation Day
• Nov. 25 vs Wisconsin, Senior Day
