Minnesota to honor Joe Tiller with helmet sticker this weekend at Purdue
In addition the variety of tributes Purdue has planned to honor former head coach Joe Tiller, Minnesota will also be showing its support on Saturday.
The Gophers and head coach P.J. Fleck announced that the team would have a special helmet sticker to honor Tiller this weekend as Minnesota travels to West Lafayette to take on the Boilermakers.
“What we need to do as a Big Ten institution is to support him and his family,” Fleck said. “Support the Purdue family, know that we’re going to be there for them.”

Purdue also plans to wear special helmets this weekend which replicate the ones worn during the Tiller era. A special helmet sticker will also be visible.
