Texas A&M CBs coach, former Minnesota assistant lands gig with Dallas Cowboys
A former Minnesota assistant coach has landed a job in the NFL.
Per ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, Texas A&M cornerbacks coach Maurice Linguist has landed a job with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys on Mike McCarthy’s staff. He will take on a similar position in Dallas, helping coach the secondary.

Linguist takes the NFL job after spending the last two seasons with Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M. Before taking a job with the Aggies, Linguist was on P.J. Fleck’s staff at Minnesota for one year in 2017, coaching the defensive backs.
Along with Texas A&M and Minnesota, Linguist has also had stops at Mississippi State, Iowa State, Buffalo and James Madison. This will be his first time coaching in the NFL.
Linguist was a safety at Baylor from 2003-06.
