The Minnesota Golden Gophers improved to 4-0 and 1-0 in conference play with a statement road win against Michigan State in East Lansing. The Gophers trounced the Spartans 34-7 Saturday afternoon.

The Gophers look like the early team to beat in the B1G West, and no one else even looks close to competing with them outside of Iowa. The Hawkeyes must also find an offense if they want to stay competitive.

NFL analyst Tony Dungy likes what he sees from the Row the Boat crew:

The Gophers’ offense is a well-oiled machine with fifth-year QB Tanner Morgan at the helm, a solid stable of RBs, another good group of WRs and a solid OL. At the time of writing, Minnesota only has one ranked opponent left on the schedule with a road date at Penn State in the middle of October.

Minnesota welcomes Purdue next Saturday for a noon ET kick, and you can catch the action on ESPN2.
