Minnesota was 2-0 coming into Week 3 and the Golden Gophers hadn’t impressed too many people.

In Week 1, the team beat South Dakota State 28-21. Then in Week 2, they went to Fresno State and won a double overtime game 38-35. Nothing had been easy.

In Week 3, that remained the same. Minnesota was supposed to beat Georgia Southern rather soundly. Did that happen, though? Of course not.

With 3:47 left in the game, Minnesota trailed 32-28. It needed a TD to win.

Queue the dramatic game-winning TD throw and catch:

Minnesota drove all the way down the field and with 13 seconds left, quarterback Tanner Morgan found wide receiver Tyler Johnson in the corner of the end zone.

Ball game.
