Nebraska guard Elijah Wood is entering the transfer portal.

He announced that news on Twitter on Monday evening.

Wood was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He was the No. 420 overall player in the country for his class.

He played sparingly for a team that struggled mightily all season long. He averaged 3.1 minutes per game over the course of 13 appearances. He scored 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting this season.

Wood’s best game came against Doane College. He scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds.

Nebraska finished last in the Big Ten this season with a 3-16 conference record. However, there’s reason for hope in Lincoln. Coach Fred Hoiberg signed the No. 25 class in the country and the No. 3 class in the Big Ten in 2021, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

That class includes 5-star guard Bryce McGowens and 4-star center Wilhelm Breidenbach.

Nebraska finished the season with an overall record of 7-20.
