Nebraska loses commitment from 3-star prospect, 2023 RB out of Louisiana
Nebraska suffered another decommitment on the recruiting trail Monday. This time, the decision comes from Arnold Barnes, a 3-star RB via the class of 2023 out of New Orleans.
Barnes committed to the program in November but is reopening his recruitment with the various changes going on to the coaching staff:
“First off, I would like to thank the coaches and staff that recruited me during this process. In light of the many changes at the University of Nebraska, I’ve decided to take a step back and open my recruiting process,” said Barnes.

The 5-foot-9 RB is rated as a 3-star prospect and the No. 81 RB nationally for the class of 2023 via the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. Barnes’ decision brings Nebraska’s recruiting class back down to 12 commitments for the cycle.
