Nebraska has officially received a signature from former Georgia Tech running back Dedrick Mills.

On Monday, the Huskers released a Twitter graphic stating that Mills had signed with the program. He originally committed to Nebraska in fall 2018.

Mills is a nice addition for Nebraska, which currently boasts a top 25 recruiting class and ranks in the top five in the B1G, according to 247Sports.

Mills played one season at Georgia Tech and was the team’s leading rusher as a freshman in 2016. He rushed for 771 yards and 12 touchdowns on 152 carries. He appeared in nine games for the Yellow Jackets that season, and capped his rookie campaign by earning Most Valuable Player honors in the TaxSlayer Bowl after rushing for 169 yards and a touchdown on 31 touches.

Mills was dismissed from Georgia Tech’s football program prior to the start of the 2017 season due to a violation of athletic department rules. He spent the last two seasons at Garden City Community College.

Last fall at Garden City, Mills rushed for 1,358 yards and 19 touchdowns.
