According to CBS Sports Insider Jon Rothstein, one of Nebraska basketball’s early-season non-conference opponents has decided to break their game contract with the Cornhuskers and withdraw from a tournament being hosted in Lincoln.

The St. Louis Billikens are reportedly withdrawing from the Golden Window Classic at Lincoln’s Pinnacle Bank Arena and will play games at home for the first several weeks of the season as a Covid-19 precaution, according to Rothstein.

The Cornhuskers will begin the basketball season on Nov. 25 against McNeese State in the Golden Windows Classic. With the next day’s game against the Billikens canceled, Nebraska’s next scheduled contest is Nov. 28 against San Francisco, which is still part of the Classic. South Dakota and Florida A&M are the other opponents taking part in the tournament.
