Northwestern managed to keep Michigan off the board just before the halftime of Saturday’s game. The Wildcats started the second half only down three points to the undefeated Wolverines, down 10-7, and had some momentum after making a key stop just before half.

But early in the third period, the Wildcats lost one of their top offensive threats when wide receiver Stephon Robinson left the game with a lower body injury. Reports are that he won’t return.

Wildcats sophomore quarterback Ryan Hilinski and Robinson have been clicking lately. Robinson has tallied 231 of his team leading 424 receiving yards during the Wildcats last two games.  He is the first Wildcat to clock back-to-back 100-yard games since 2018.

Robinson transferred from Kansas during the off-season, after an injury-marred 2020 campaign in which he caught just two passes.
