Northwestern lost a tough game at Stanford to start the 2019 season. The game was 10-7 in favor of the Cardinal up until the final drive of the game when the Wildcats had the ball.

One play and a turnover later and it made the final score 17-7. Northwestern was right there, though. And part of the reason why was because of RB Isaiah Bowser. Quarterback play was a bit of a mess since two signal callers took snaps in the game and QB TJ Green suffered a season-ending injury.

However, Green wasn’t the only one to get injured. Bowser did as well. He ended up leaving the game and then didn’t appear in Northwestern’s Week 3 contest — after a Week 2 bye — either.

It wasn’t known when Bowser would return from his unspecified knee injury until the team released its depth chart ahead of the game against Michigan State for Week 4:

Bowser is listed as the team’s starter again after leading the team in rushing against Stanford. Last week, against UNLV, backup redshirt freshman RB Drake Anderson rushed for 141 yards and a TD.
