Robbie Beran is looking to play elsewhere in 2023-24.

The Northwestern starting forward revealed that he is leaving the school after “4 years, 120 games, 2 degrees and so many memories.”

The NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver allows for Beran to play a fifth season of college basketball. He’ll offer his next school a 6-9 forward with experience as a 100-game starter.

Beran’s Wildcats career began in 2019. In the 2019-20 season, Beran played in 31 games, making 18 starts, averaging 19.1 minutes per contest.

As a sophomore, Beran again started 18 games. In 24 appearances, he averaged 20.2 minutes per game.

Beran started all but 1 game the past 2 seasons (2021-22, 2022-23). His playing time and production gradually increased every season.

By his senior year, Beran was playing 25.8 minutes per game, averaging 7.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per outing. Beran scored 20 points, a career-high, in Northwestern’s season-opener against Chicago State on Nov. 7.

Northwestern finished the season 22-12, falling to UCLA in the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament.
